Mercy – more and more people are talking about it in the context of the masses of Americans incarcerated. But is mercy enough? Bryan Stevenson of the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama, has done a lot to push this debate to the front. We look deeper at the Equal Justice Initiative’s work to address the history of slavery and lynchings with a short film by artist Molly Crabapple. Laura Flanders also discusses how to end isolation, both in prisons and outside.
